Service Description
This package provides essential doula support for both the surrogate and intended parents. Surrogacy can be complex and emotionally layered. That’s why we offer a comprehensive package that addresses not just the medical and logistical aspects, but also the emotional, relational, and physical needs of everyone involved. We view each surrogacy journey as a partnership, where surrogates and intended parents are two branches growing from the same tree—connected, supported, and nurtured throughout the process. This package is curated by both a fertility doula and a birth doula to bring both specialties to your team from the beginning and to provide continuity in care as you progress through your journey. ⸻ What’s Included: - 90 minute intake meeting all both parties to understand goals, values, and expectations. We will also design a roadmap for the surrogacy journey and the support needed Preconception & Fertility Sessions: - Up to 4hrs individual sessions for the surrogate - Up to 4hrs individual sessions for the intended parents - Custom session layout based on needs Includes discussion on: - Surrogacy education and process overview for both parties - Individual emotional readiness sessions for surrogate and intended parents - Guidance for communication and emotional balance - Mind-body fertility support and stress-reduction practices - Advocacy and navigation support during medical and agency interactions - Support through embryo transfer and until confirmed pregnancy - Formal transition session to birth support once a pregnancy is established Birth Support: - 3 prenatal visits with the surrogate (IPs encouraged to attend) - 1 prenatal visit with intended parents (virtual or in-person) - On-call support starting at 36 weeks - Continuous labor and birth support - 1 immediate postpartum visit for the surrogate (days 3–7) - 1 wellness postpartum visit at 6–12 weeks (includes optional castor oil therapy) General Package inclusions: - Appointment planning support, if desired - Optional reiki for surrogate and/or IPs - Optional castor oil therapy for surrogate and/or IPs - Ongoing text and email support throughout the journey - Contract-ready; intended parents typically cover this service
